At Dogs of Puerto Angel, rescue is only part of the mission. I am also a committed animal advocate, working to address the root causes of cruelty and neglect in our region.

I’ve organized the first-ever peaceful protests against animal mistreatment on this stretch of the Oaxacan coast—giving a voice to the voiceless and demanding justice in cases of extreme abuse. These demonstrations have united concerned citizens, raised public awareness, and pressured authorities to take action.

In addition to protest work, Dogs of Puerto Angel actively investigates and exposes severe cases of animal mistreatment, many of which have gained attention from local news and media outlets. By shining a light on these abuses, we aim to hold perpetrators accountable and spark lasting change.

I also work directly with local government officials and law enforcement to push for stronger animal protection laws and more effective enforcement across the region. True change requires systemic reform, and I’m committed to building a future where cruelty is no longer tolerated—and compassion becomes the norm.Activism is at the heart of everything we do.
Because until every animal is safe, the work is not finished.
