“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
— Nelson Mandela
Sterilization is the only humane and effective way to combat the overpopulation and suffering of dogs and cats. But even more powerful than sterilization is education.
If we want lasting change, we must teach the next generation to become compassionate, responsible pet owners. Children need to learn that animals are sentient beings—worthy of care, respect, and protection. When young people grow up with this awareness, they will be more likely to sterilize their pets and treat them with kindness. One of the core goals of Dogs of Puerto Angel is to develop and deliver consciousness-raising education programs in local schools and communities. By planting the seeds of empathy and responsibility today, we’re working toward a brighter, more humane future for animals in Mexico.
